Tren is a desktop utility client compatible with Minecraft and Minecraft-adjacent clients, together with an account portal at portal.tren.gg. Access is provided on a recurring subscription basis. Tren is not affiliated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft Corporation.
Tren collects the following:
- Your email address and a cryptographic hash of your password.
- A one-way hash of hardware identifiers from each authorized computer, used to enforce per-seat licensing. The hash cannot be reversed to identify the underlying device.
- Configuration data that you elect to synchronize to the cloud.
- Operational and audit records, including authentication events, downloads, and IP addresses.
- A Stripe customer reference and basic subscription metadata. Stripe processes payment information directly; Tren does not receive or store card numbers.
Tren does not sell personal information and does not engage in advertising.
The Service relies on a limited set of third-party providers, each engaged for a specific operational function: Stripe (payments), Render (application hosting and database), Vercel (web frontend), Cloudflare (DNS, edge caching, object storage, and download authorization), and Sentry (error reporting).
Subscriptions are recurring and renew automatically until canceled through the Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period.
Pricing, plans, and tiers may change at any time. Existing subscriptions are not affected during their current billing period. Notice will be provided in advance of any change affecting renewal.
Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and considered only where (i) the request is submitted within 24 to 48 hours of the original charge, and (ii) the Service is materially non-functional through no fault of the user. Refunds are not issued for user error, change of mind, third-party enforcement actions, or termination for cause.
Initiating a chargeback, payment dispute, or reversal constitutes a material breach of the Terms and will result in immediate account termination, forfeiture of remaining subscription time, and permanent denylisting. Users who believe a charge is incorrect should contact Support before disputing with their payment provider.
Each subscription tier includes a defined number of seats, corresponding to authorized computers. Seat release requires a 24-hour processing period as a deterrent to account sharing.
Accounts are issued to individual users. Account sharing, lending, and transfer are prohibited. Licenses may not be resold absent express written authorization from Tren.
Users may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or leak the Client.
- Circumvent seat enforcement, telemetry, or any anti-piracy mechanism.
- Mirror or redistribute the Client or any portion of it.
- Use the Service to develop competing products.
- Provide false or fraudulent information regarding identity, payment, or eligibility.
- Harass Tren personnel or other users.
Users are solely responsible for ensuring that their use of the Client complies with the rules of any Minecraft client, server, network, or platform on which it is run. Tren does not endorse or facilitate the violation of third-party terms and is not responsible for any resulting enforcement actions taken by such third parties.
Upon expiry, cancellation, or non-payment, access to the Client is disabled immediately. If the account has not been terminated by Tren, Portal access is retained for purposes of managing the subscription, updating settings, and deleting the account, and user data is retained until the account is deleted.
Termination by Tren may result in revocation of all access, forfeiture of unused subscription time, and ineligibility for refund.
Account deletion is processed immediately and is permanent. Active Stripe subscriptions are canceled, authentication sessions are revoked, and the account record is hard-deleted. Related records are removed by cascade. Audit and entitlement records are retained but disassociated from the deleted account. Residual copies may persist in encrypted backups until those backups expire on their normal rotation.
Tren reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time, in its sole discretion, including on the basis of telemetry indicating violation of the Terms. Tren is not obligated to disclose the grounds for any such action.
Communications between client and server are protected with Transport Layer Security. Passwords are stored only as hashes produced by a modern adaptive function. Internal access to production data is restricted on a need-to-know basis. No system is fully secure; users will be notified of any breach as required by applicable law.
The Service is intended for users 18 years of age or older for purposes of contract formation. The Privacy Policy's separate threshold of 13 years applies only to data collection under COPPA.
Disputes are subject to a 30-day informal resolution period commenced by written notice to Support. Unresolved disputes proceed to individual binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in San Jose, California, or remotely at the user's election. Class actions, collective proceedings, and consolidated arbitration are waived.
Users may opt out of arbitration by written notice to Support within 30 days of first accepting the Terms. Claims qualifying for small claims jurisdiction may be brought in that forum. All other proceedings are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California, under California law.
The minimum cap described in the full Terms.
The alternative cap is what you paid Tren in the previous twelve months.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Tren's total cumulative liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the total amount paid to Tren in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or USD $10.
Users may access, correct, export, or delete their data by contacting Support from the account email. Additional rights may apply under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA depending on the user's jurisdiction. Tren honors all such rights as required by applicable law.
The Service may not be accessed from any country subject to a comprehensive United States embargo or by any person on a United States restricted or denied-party list.
Either document may be amended at any time. Material amendments will be communicated by email or Portal notice in advance of their effective date. Continued use of the Service following the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
